What to expect:
The things we do at Warragul Church of Christ are casual, contemporary, and family-friendly. You'll notice a casual atmosphere, and people of all ages from all walks of life.
Someone may greet you as you arrive and can help you find your way around, and you may sit wherever you are most comfortable.
Casual:
There's no need to dress up to come. You will be welcomed just as you are! We start Sunday services at 10am, but if you are running late don’t worry, just come on in!
Contemporary:
Experience heartfelt worship with a variety of music styles. No pressure to sing along, but if you want to all the words are clearly displayed on a screen at the front!
Everyone worships in their own way. For some, that means singing along, or raising their hands to God, or for others it may be quietly reflecting on the lyrics. You’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable.
Family-friendly:
Families are important to us. Children and Teens make up an important part of our church.
Children's ministry is available every Sunday during school terms. Partway through the service, age 3 to Grade 6 head to their program.
High schoolers usually stay for the message and then go out to discuss related themes with a youth leader.
A parent room is also available with windows looking into the main auditorium, and audio/video of the service accessible. There is also a separate baby change room with toilet.
We take safety seriously, and all staff and volunteers have participated in ChildSafe training and hold valid Working With Children Checks.
Communion:
Most weeks in our Sunday service we take time to recall the events of Jesus’ life death and resurrection, using bread (gluten free) and grape juice that are symbols of this throughout the Christian Church.
If you wish to participate you are very welcome. But please feel no pressure. You are more than welcome to just remain seated and watch.
